Open interest (OI) is the total of all open futures positions in a pair. The ranking shows where money is flowing: JustScreener recalculates OI across every USDT-M future on 9 exchanges every minute.
OI rising with price confirms the trend with new money. OI rising while price falls — shorts are building. A sharp OI drop — mass position closing or liquidations.

Read the OI column next to the price change: same direction — the trend is being fed, opposite — a position is building against the move.
Sharp shifts
An OI jump within 1–12 hours often precedes a strong move. Check funding and turnover on the coin page.

- Why do only futures have OI?
- Spot has no positions — only coin ownership. OI exists only in derivatives, so the table lists futures pairs only.
- Can I get signals on OI shifts?
