Sector analysis is the cheapest bet in crypto: instead of guessing the right single coin, you bet that the whole sector is moving. When AI tokens are green across the board — that's macro, and buying a solid sector leader is often more effective than trying to pick the strongest one.
Categories cover the standard market taxonomy (DeFi, Layer-1, Layer-2, GameFi, RWA, AI, Memecoin etc.) and are linked to our tickers — only the coins we actually track are shown. Each category has aggregate market cap and 24h % change computed across its members.
Comparing sectors helps you see macroflow: the top 24h gainer = "where capital is flowing now"; the worst loser = "where it's leaving from". A sector rotation often lasts longer than 24 hours, so catching it at the start gives you better R/R than chasing the top gainer.
How to use
Spot the rotation
Compare 2–3 top sectors against 2–3 bottom ones. A wide spread (e.g. +6% AI vs −4% memes) means the market is repricing risk — flight to quality, or the opposite, into speculation.
Enter through the top-3
Within a sector, pick the top-3 coins by market cap — deepest liquidity, smallest order-book risk. Fine-tune the entry on the coin's detail page.
Watch the token count
A category with 5 tokens and one with 200 represent very different risk. When all 5 small-sector tokens jump +20% together — it's usually a single market-maker, not a real trend.
FAQ
Where do the sector classifications come from?
A standard market taxonomy refreshed weekly. About 300 categories are maintained upstream; we keep only those that intersect with tickers already covered by the per-minute scan (5+ tokens per category).
Why is a coin in multiple categories?
That's normal — Solana is both Layer-1 and (via Phantom wallets) a meme-ecosystem hub. The taxonomy stores all memberships, and we keep the many-to-many links.
How often is the 24h sector % change updated?
Weekly, on taxonomy sync. For a real-time view, use the heatmap — coin-cell colours there refresh every 30 minutes.
Can I trade sector rotation automatically?
A pure "sector moved" alert is not a separate thing — but from this page you can see which coins lead inside the rising sector, and on those specific tickers price/volume/OI triggers are already detected automatically by JustScreener screeners across all 6,500+ coins on 10 exchanges.
