Combining Screener Signals for High-Probability Entries

Each JustScreener tool is a separate market sensor. Price shows what is already happening, Open Interest shows what big players are about to do, volume shows how confidently they do it, and funding shows who pays for the move. Individually these signals are noisy. Combined, they produce high-probability entry points that no single indicator can match.

The Core Setup: Price + OI + Volume

An ideal long setup looks like this: the asset shows price, Open Interest, and volume rising together, with funding neutral or mildly positive.
  • Price rising — the trend is already starting, momentum is building.
  • Rising OI — new positions are opening, not old ones unwinding.
  • Volume spike — the move is backed by real liquidity.
  • Neutral funding — the market isn’t overheated, there’s room to run.
Screener configuration: price +2% in 15 minutes, OI +5% over the same interval, volume above 150% of average. All three hitting on the same ticker produces a high-quality entry signal.

Four Key Combinations You Must Know

The same metrics can mean opposite things depending on price direction and OI context. Remember these four combinations — they cover 80% of real scenarios.
Price ↑ + OI ↑ + Volume ↑
Healthy bullish trend. New money is flowing in. Likely scenario — continuation, especially while funding stays neutral.
Price ↑ + OI ↓ + Volume ↑
Short squeeze. Price rises on short covering, not on new longs. The move can be sharp but short-lived — a pullback often follows.
Price ↓ + OI ↑ + Volume ↑
Aggressive shorting. Traders are opening fresh short positions. Downtrend — but look for a reversal when funding goes to extreme negative.
Price ↓ + OI ↓ + Volume ↑
Long liquidations. Weak hands are flushed. After such a squeeze a local bottom typically forms, especially if funding returns to neutral afterward.

Configuring a Custom Screener for Multi-Signal Alerts

Instead of manually correlating signals across screeners, use the custom screener — it lets you combine multiple conditions into one alert with AND logic.
  • Long setup. Price +2% in 15 min AND OI +5% in 15 min AND volume > 24h average.
  • Short setup. Price -2% AND OI > 24h average AND funding > 0.08%.
  • Reversal setup. Sharp OI drop in 5 min AND volume > 200% AND funding < -0.05%.
  • Breakout setup. Price +3% in 1h AND OI rising for 3 hours in a row AND volume > 180%.

Pre-Entry Signal Checklist

When you receive a multi-signal alert, don’t rush in — spend 30–60 seconds verifying. A simple checklist multiplies entry accuracy:
  • Check the higher-timeframe trend (1H or 4H). Trade in the direction of the higher trend.
  • Assess distance to nearby levels. If price is already at resistance — skip the long.
  • Check pair liquidity. A thin asset can print a false signal from one large order.
  • Cross-check BTC behavior. If Bitcoin is in the opposite phase, the altcoin usually won’t run far.
The power of combined signals is that they filter market noise. A single volume spike means little, but add OI growth and price momentum and you’re seeing what large players see. Use the custom screener to catch these events automatically and the system starts working for you 24/7.
