Why base-asset spot volume matters

Base-asset volume reveals real trading density independent of price. A coin at $0.001 with billions of units traded looks gigantic — convert to USD and it shrinks. BTC at 30,000 coins/day is ~$3B turnover. The "Volume" column is for counting units, not dollars.

A sharp volume spike often precedes price moves: large buyers are accumulating, and while volume rises faster than price — it is an entry setup. For the USD equivalent of the same activity, switch to "Turnover".
