Custom conditions: combine your search rules

Combine price, open interest and turnover conditions: threshold signs, analysis windows, filters and repeats.

Define the task

When a price change alone does not describe your task, you can check several metrics together. We will combine price and open interest in the custom-condition screener. We will review what must match, set directions and intervals, then check filters and saving. The aim is to narrow the search for further analysis.

All enabled conditions must match

All enabled conditions must hold together in the same check. If price matches but open interest does not, the combination is incomplete. Adding a condition narrows the search. It does not automatically improve a trade. You do not need all three metrics: keep only the ones your task actually requires.

Direction and threshold

For this settings example, use a two-percent price increase and a three-percent open-interest increase, both over fifteen minutes. These are example parameters, not trade recommendations. A positive threshold checks an increase; a negative one checks a decrease. An enabled condition needs a valid nonzero threshold and an interval. Disable a row with its switch when you do not need it.

Different analysis windows

Each row has its own interval. You can check price over fifteen minutes and open interest over an hour. Both windows end now, but start at different times. Their results must match at the current check. This does not mean both moves began together. Equal intervals are easier to interpret for a first comparison; use different ones for a specific task.

Turnover and search filters

The third row checks a change in rolling daily turnover over its own interval. That is a separate metric from candle volume. Do not confuse it with the minimum daily turnover filter, which uses an amount in millions of dollars. Review exchanges, market, minimum open interest and coin lists. A combination involving open interest needs futures data. Strict filters narrow the search further.

Entering the combination and repeats

The screener detects entry into the combination: a transition from an incomplete match to all conditions holding together. A combination that remains true does not mean a new message every minute. The per-coin cooldown and limit further restrict repeated entries. If notifications are rare, review both this behavior and your condition strictness, changing one thing at a time.

Check the result

Save the selected conditions and check the confirmation. Make sure the screener is enabled and delivery is ready. Where a historical check is available, review the period and matches for this exact combination. Their count does not measure profit. Change one parameter for a comparison and check again. A matching notification is a reason to examine context, not an instruction to open a position.

Let the screener watch this for you

What this article covers, JustScreener checks across 7,300+ pairs on 10 exchanges every minute. Set your own threshold and get a push or Telegram alert when the market matches it. On the right — what the screeners sent recently.
