What spot USD turnover shows
Turnover is price × volume in USD. It answers a simple question: how much money flowed through this pair. Top-10 pairs by spot turnover are the global liquidity hubs of crypto: BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, SOL/USDT.

Low turnover signals the opposite: even a small order can move price by several percent. If pair turnover is under $1M/day — budget for 1–3% slippage and avoid market orders.
What this means
Spot and futures behave differently: spot has no funding and no leverage, so moves are softer and reflect real buying and selling rather than leveraged positions being opened.
