Crypto market heatmap
Top 75 coins: size — market cap (or volume, or magnitude of move), colour — price change. Switch controls to view the market from different angles.
Green cells — up, red — down. The darker the colour, the stronger the move. Hover a cell to see the ticker and the percentage.

A heatmap is the fastest way to see how different parts of the crypto market behave. The cell area is proportional to market cap: the biggest caps take a lot of space, the smallest ones become tiny squares in the corner. Colour shows the price change over the selected period: green — up, red — down, gray — no data.
The map helps you tell whether the rally is broad-based or it is one coin pulling the index up. If only memecoins are green and the top-10 stays faintly pink — that is a very different market than when the whole top-10 is bright green. Comparing periods (1h vs 7d) shows what was an impulse and what was a sustained move.
Market caps and prices are refreshed every 30 minutes, so the map reflects market state with at most an hour of lag.
How to read the map
Cell size
Area scales with market cap in USD. Bitcoin and Ethereum take up about half of the map; the bottom cells are coins with caps starting at $100M.
Colour
The intensity of green or red reflects the strength of the move. A light tint — 1–3% change; bright colour — 5%+; deep dark — extreme 8–10%+.
Period
Switching between 1h / 24h / 7d / 30d immediately rebuilds the colour map. Use the short period to catch news; the long one to compare sustained trends and seasonal moves.
Context
The map is a starting point, not a signal. Before trading, check the order book, funding, volume and the sector. JustScreener gives you all of that in one screen.
FAQ
- Where does the heatmap data come from?
- Market caps and prices are refreshed every 30 minutes from aggregated public sources. Cell colour is computed from the price change over the selected period.
- Why only the top-80 coins, not all of them?
- A heatmap of the top 80 stays readable. Past 100–150 cells, the smallest ones become less than 10 pixels — you can't see anything in them. If you need a long list, check the “Futures quotes” or “All coins” pages.
- Can I filter by sector (DeFi, memes, L1)?
- In the JustScreener dashboard, the heatmap widget has a category switcher. The public page does not show the filter yet — it will be enabled once categories are available for all coins.
- How is the heatmap different from a regular top-gainers list?
- A gainers list shows top-10 by percentage change — usually thin-book memecoins. The heatmap weights movement by market cap, so a big gain on a tiny coin does not dominate a small move on Bitcoin. That gives an honest picture of the market, not a selection of algorithmic spikes.
